A bottom man works in the trench alongside the pipelayer, handling pipe, fittings, bedding rock, and hand tools so the crew keeps moving safely and on pace. It is the most common way people start an underground utility career at SMH.
Underground utilities including sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and watermain, plus earthwork and mass grading, bridges and piling, concrete curb and gutter, erosion control, and site development. That range is why we hire for so many different field roles.
It is used only by S.M. Hentges & Sons to reach out about work. We never sell it or share it outside the company.
Make sure your name is on our list when it gets built.
